Neurospicy Family Support
Service Description
A safe, supportive space for neurodivergent families who need someone to talk things through with. Being part of a neurospicy family can be rewarding, challenging, confusing, and at times overwhelming. Our 60-minute one-to-one support sessions provide a friendly, understanding space to discuss the day-to-day situations your family is experiencing. Whether you're trying to make sense of responses, emotional reactions, family dynamics, routines, communication differences, or the practical realities of everyday life, we can help you unpick what's happening and explore what support or adjustments may be beneficial for the individuals involved. These sessions are informed by lived experience of raising and supporting family members with Autism (ASD), Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and ADHD, alongside personal experience of living with and navigating these profiles within family life. This real-world understanding allows us to offer practical, relatable support grounded in the realities of daily living, rather than theory alone. These sessions can help families: Better understand responses and communication styles Explore practical strategies for everyday challenges Reflect on difficult situations in a non-judgemental environment Consider the underlying needs that may be driving a person's responses Build confidence in supporting neurodivergent family members Feel heard, understood, and less isolated Gain insight from someone with lived experience of ASD, PDA and ADHD family life Most importantly, we offer a listening ear. Sometimes families simply need a supportive conversation with someone who genuinely understands the unique joys and challenges that can come with raising and supporting neurodivergent family members. No one should feel they have to navigate these experiences alone.
